Eng. Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION - 1788 SALISBURY AVENUE (Public Works Comumnitice Mecting - October 13, 1992) That Council approve a $10,000 contribution from the developer as his share of the cost for the future installation of & storm sewer. | That the developer construct a rock pit as part of the required on-site storm water disposal system for the development. As past of the rezoning application review engineering servicing requirements were identified. It was noted that there is no existing storm sewer to service the property. However, it was determined that it would be an onerous requirement to have the developer extend the full length of a storm sewer to service his lot. Accordingly, it was recommended that the developer contribute $10,000 as his shaxe of the cost for the future storm sewer installation. The developer is agreeable to this proposal. Due to the absence of a storm sewer, a suitable on-site storm water disposal system is required. In this regard, the developer intends to install a rock pit on the property to handle the storm water, All other engineering requirements namely, development cost charges for roads, upgraded water service and fire hydrant are to be provided as part of the development. It is therefore recommended that a contribution of $10,000 be accepted from the developer, as his share of the future storm sewer installation and that a rock pit be provided on the property to handle the storm water. ip, B/ Bg.
