ing chosen, Stevens said.
“Personally, I think the bid
is just a formality. We've heard
so much that last year’s event
was so much appreciated and
enjoyed, that everyone is look-
ing forward to returning.”
Stevens still hears positive
comments from criers that at-
tended last year’s event, and
from the people who billeted
out-of-town participants.
“During the North Ameri-
can competition and again at
the’ European competition, I
was approached several times
by members. A lot of criers I’ve
spoken to are looking forward
to the chance to return to Sid-
ney-by-the-Sea,” Stevens said.
Should Sidney get the nod,
Stevens is hoping the Sidney-
