SALT SPRING W.L OPEN WINTER SEASON Members of the South Salt Spring Island Women’s Institute held their September meeting on Thursday at the home of Mrs. E. Cudmore, Fulford Harbour. Ten members and two visitors were present. Mrs. Davis, presi- dent, opened the meeting with a reading. The sum of $52.85 was voted . towards the cost of a Fowler bed for the Lady Minto Gulf Islands hospital. Mrs. E. Cudmore and Mrs. A. - Hebenton were chosen as dele- gates to attend the conference in Victoria in November. Tea was served by Mrs. Cud- more, assisted by Mrs. Hebenton. ST. MARY’S GUILD MEET AT FULFORD The quarterly meeting -of St. Mary’s Guild was held on -Thurs- day afternoon at “Swallowfield Haven,” the home of Mrs, T. M. Jackson. Twelve members were present.
