In all it is expected that 900 par- ticipants, (an increase of 20 percent), will be enrolled in the activities which are an- nounced in this issue of the Sidney Review. In addition approximately 60 children will roller skate each Saturday morning at Sanscha. He would be present at the parade on Victoria Day and at Sidney Day, taking a full part with obvious personal relish. The presentation recalls an occasion two years ago, when Archie, deputising for Mayor Peter Pollen, accepted the challenge of Mayor Art Phillips in a penny farthing bike ride around Vancouver city hall. PENSIONERS SADDENED BY LOSS OF BILL BOSHER The Sidney Old Age Pen- Sioners cancelled their business meeting scheduled for January 8, to mourn the loss of Bill Bosher who passed away on January 5. Bill had been an active member of the Branch for some years, Bill will be missed, as he was a wiliing worker until ill health forced him to retire from the executive body. Sincere sympathy goes out to Bill's wife, Doris, the seerctary of the branch, in her bereavement.
