KENT SMALLEY, Manager We Are In The Doghouse! been taken by certain of i ems to have our PEs tis phrase in the Editorial “Good-bye Summer” of last weeks issue. We remarked, “They are guests whom we are glad to see come and glad to see go.” We reiterate our remarks. White Rock is a paradise for summer visitors, who partake of our glady given hospitality and depart looking forward to the ti } 2 5 again. Many attracted by its beauties and climate, Jong for permanent residence. Some eventually become property owners and come to live among us, But after all we must not neglect the progress of our establish-|. ed community. Our summer visitors disrupt our plans for local im- provements. We cater to them foregoing for the time- being our ambition to make White Rock an even more pleasant place in which to spend their vacation next season, and so “We are glad to see them go-”, giving us this opportunity during the winter months. Our one and only aim is for a prosperous community. Nature has given us what other parts of this great continent would give millions to possess: Its possibil- ities are immense. Let us take advantage of them, and make our White Rock “The Naples of America.” BLOOM’S GENERAL STORE ADJOINING THE SCHOOL GROUNDS White Rock, B.C.
