Junior yachters of the Sidney’
North Saanich Yaucht Club

competed at the Maple Bay
- Yacht Club regatta on June 4,
with Iain Morris and Simon
Pearson placing first.

Amanda Morris placed se-
cond, and Eric Mass:and Joe
Nowicky third in the Laser: II
division.

Meanwhile, the club has
organized a registration and in-
formation day. for those wan-
ting to try dinghy sailing, Satur-
day, June 25, at its breakwater
from 10 a.m. to3 p.m.

An instructor, qualified by
the Canadian Yachting Associa-
tion, will hand out information
and take registrations. for
dinghy sailing classes.

FLYING TO the finish line are pacers at Sandown, June 12. Attendance was more
than 1,700 in sunny weather. Sandown Harness Raceway is offering free gate admis-
sion tonight, June 15. Racing starts at 5:30 p.m.
