A comprehensive questionnaire requires the an-
swers to 18 questions from men and 20 from women,
and covers age, marital status, nationality, education,
‘employment and special qualifications. An identificat-
jon card, which must be carried on the person at all
times, will be given to each registree and non-possess.

This is a gigantie task, one of registering some
7,000,000 people in three days. It will require the co-
operaton of the populace and the tact and efficiency
of the registrars.

White Rock’s own registration problem is a per-
euliar one. Ordinarily our population is around 2000
with 901 names on the voters’ list, Add to this some
300 boys and girls between 16 and 21 and at least
9500 visitor from as for Bast as Prince Edward Island,
numbers of Prairie, visitors and all sorts of city folks,
and the task of a deputy registrar will not be a bed
of roses.

It iscommonly estimated that it will take 15
minutes on an average to fill out one of the

ed will require 950 hours, or about 100 working days
for one person. But this work must be done in 3 days.

May we suggest that all persons be as co-opera-
tive as possible and study a registration form before
hand so that questions may be answered in a minimum
of time. Tell your neighbors and emphasize to them
the importance of their registering as soon and ascarly
possible. This is simply part of your individual war
effort but it is an important part.

A Hallowe'en Party?

For the past two years the Legion in co-operation with othe”
local organizations, has sponsored a Hallowe'en Party. Consid-
able success rewarded the effort.

Beeause Canada is now actively engaged in a fight for
world liberty, the public has had many worthy appeals for
money, urgently needed for the pursuit of war work. Conse-
quently the Legion feels that the public should be permitted
to express an opinion as to whether the Hallowe'en Party shall

be held this year, or suspended,
