The congregation of the local
Presbyterian Church was led in
worship by the Rev, K. E. King,
Moderator of Westminster Pres-
bytery ,on Sunday last. At the
Juse of the service he consti-
tuted the assembly as a con:
gregational meeting.

He told them that in view of
the growth of the congregation,
and because of their improved
financial situation they were
privileged to change their stat-
u from “Mission Field” to that
of “Augmented Charge.” This
would give them the right to
hear calls, and the prerogative
of accepting a minister of their
own choice, *

At the time time they agreed |
by unanimous vote to have the
name of the local church chang-
ed Permission to adopt the
new name must first be sought
of the Presbytery to make it of-
ficial, but no difficulty is an-
ticipated locally, on this score.
