The members. enjoyed the sea- son’s play and at the same time felt that they were assisting a very worthy cause. The winners for the season were —-First, Mrs. S. Roberts and Capt. KE. Livesey: second, Mr. and Mrs. Urquhart; third, Mrs. E. Livsey and: W. Beswick. .The final play was held on Tues- day of last week when Mr. and Mrs. Vogee were the winners. O’REILLY LAID TO REST AT ROSS BAY A large congregation of friends attended the funeral serviees of Francis Joseph O'Reilly, who was buried on Monday afternoon in Ross Bay Cemetery. . The Rev, Geo. Biddle conducted . the - serv- ices at St. John’s Church, Vie- foria. The Jate’ Mr, O’Reilly passed away on March 20th in Jubilee Hospital, Vietori ia, aged 75 years. He was born in New Westminster and was prominent -in. civil life throughout the province and in the Old Country, coming to Victoria as a boy and later being sent to England for advanced education. He took up civil engineering and was an associate member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. He worked on many projects in Eng- land and. He founded the firm of Cross & Co., of which he was manager until his death and it was from this office that - he managed the Sidney Water & Power Co. Ltd., of w hich he was. president.
