joys Club seeks

Peninsula members

A club founded years ago by a
Saanich Peninsula resident
today has no members from the
peninsula — but the Victoria
Boys’ Club wants to rectify that.

-The club — founded by the
late Col. Roland Osborne Bull,
M.C., of Sidney — said this week
it hopes to attract boys between
the ages of eight and 18 from the
peninsula to. its Yates Street
clubhouse.

Right now,-the club is par-
ticularly interested in at-
tracting youngsters to take part
in its boxing program, staged
each Tuesday and Thursday at 7
p.m.

But the Boys’ Club also offers
other sports programs —
soccer, basketball and
volleyball, to name but a few —
and various enalts or arts
programs.
