try his hand: on the Australian-
New Zealand professional tour.

through a.downpour Saturday to
finish third at the Vancouver
Island. Left Handers tournament
at Nanaimo Golf and Country
Club. 2.

Gorge Vale placed second.

Fram. has already qualified for
the U.S. Nationals in Reno,
Nevada and the World Left
Handers tournament next July in

Victoria by winning the B.C.
tournament for southpaws earlier

this year at Gorge Vale.

This ‘summer, Fram became

the first golfer to win the Glen .
Meadows. Junior Club Cham-

pionship four years ina row.

--Don Gowan has also won the
Trophy, donated by the late Mrs.
Stuart Criddle, four times, but
not in consecutive years. Bruce
MacKinnon won it three times.

Fram is also the first junior in
10 years to win the Royal
Colwood Men’s Club title, which
he won this summer by. finishing
12 strokes ahead of his. nearest
opponent.

In other golfing news, Tom.

Vandermuelen became only the
third golfer in recent memory to
record an ace on the 165-yard
seventh hole at Prospect Lake.
Vandermuelen’s - hole-in-one,
witnessed. by playing partner
Brian’ McDougall, was notched

-with a three-iron.

_ Gayle Green was also using a

= three-iron when she dropped her.

tee-off shot on the 138-yard 17th
hole at Glen Meadows recently.
