That way, all B.C. socialists would have the opportunity to invest in themselves. If the NDP has faith in the insurance system as established by way of ICBC then let's sell it to them and see how long they are able to operate. In the case of the ship they could go for a free ride. Yours sincerely Walter Pruden 4570 Ontario Vancouver, B.C. Editor, The Review, Sir: Now that we have a government professed to be efficient capable Businessmen. Now that I.C.B.C. is to start off debt free. There is no reason why the ICBC cannot provide in- surance coverage cheaper than anyone else on a non profit basis. The back he is referring to is yours and mine. Yours truly Anne McMahon R.R. No. 2, Ladysmith, B.C. Editor, The Review, Sir: The allegation in your newspaper by your correspondent Mr. Reginald S. Davis of Canoe Cove as to having seen a white shark in Hagans creek is absolutely preposterous. Even I, as a comparative newcomer to this country know that there are no such creatures as white sharks in this part of the world. A black shark maybe, but even so, there is positively no way a member of the shark family could possibly navigate those falls that descend from the creek into the bay, unless of course your Canadian sharks are endowed with an_ inor- dinately powerful pair of wings. I suggest Mr. Editor that the gentleman in question is the perpetrator of a hoax and I will personally be at the creek on the day of the cross country race to challenge his assumption that this ferocious creature will return to harass the race participants. I would also suggest that Mr. Davis is suffering from either hallucinations or bad eyesight and should seek immediate treatment for either one or both ailments. . Your newspaper would be better put to publishing more serious events in the world instead of such frivolous fantasies. . As I did so many times during the last war for our fighting men, I, may consider setting upa small concession donating hot tea and crumpets for the participants of what must surely be a most hazardous and_ gruelling sporting event, this of course with your permission. lam yours, Very Sincerely, Lady Pamela Norton, Brentwood. Mr. Davis seems to have a knack of getting right to the point and also has made your paper much more interesting, we feel. His -pictures and articles are of our own community and our own people which I feel a local paper should certainly print more of. We hope you will be wise enough to let him submit many more of the oustanding articles he seems to come up with. It would really be a plus for the Review. Sincerely Mrs. K. Lovejoy 2274 James White Blvd. Sidney P.S. I don’t know if he’s on your staff, but if he isn’t, he sure should be. We really do enjoy him. Thank you. Religious Cover-UP “To Be Exposed’ The Bible Seminar which is in the midst of its first week here in Sidney is experiencing exceptional success. T.R. Knoll, who is the lecturer during the three week survey of Bible Prophecy, reports that on Saturday night the church was filled with less than 300 people. Mr. Knoll, a well-known and influential religious figure across Canada, has promised that this week he will reveal the greatest religious cover-up of the Christian era. He has added that when fully unveiled the cover-up will supersede that of Watergate. T.R. Knoll is an associate of George Vandeman, regular speaker of the popular T.V. telecast “It Is Written.” Thus far during § the seminar, now. in progress, Knoll has declined comment on the subject of the cover-up. He did say however, that a relic had been discovered from the Garden of Eden which could change the tenor the of Christianity, but valuable find is being supressed by church hierarchy. Theologians refuse to accept it, ministers refuse to teach it, and entire chur- ches refuse to believe the cover-up is true. Tonight is the night that the many people in attendance each evening have been waiting for, and Knoll has promised to conceal nothing and expose everything. Ad- mission is free, and the meeting begins at 7:15 in the Sidney Adventist Church at 10469 Resthaven Dr. near the hospital.
