This Saturday (Sept. 26) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 60 companies will display their goods and services at Sanscha Hall to at least 1,500 visitors. Brenna Litwack, registration chair of the Expo, said organizers have already filled the . main hall with eager entrepreneurs, and are now booking into the annex. “We've exceeded our goals,” she said. ; In order to set up a booth at the Expo, home- based companies must pay $100 or $110 (non- chamber members pay $10 more) and the money collected goes into running the trade show. For those dropping by, admission is free. The advantages of participating in the event start with networking. “You get exposure, won- der ful exposure,” said Litwack. Since a lot of home-based businesses don’t ad- vertise, trade shows make people and other businesses aware of specific products and ser- vices, said Laura Robson, Chair of Saanich Peninsula Home-Based Business Association. Visitors who are considering starting a home based business will be inundated with lucrative business opportunities. Litwack says these types of businesses often start with a hobby and trans- late themselves into a living. “It’s amazing what you can do out of your own home,” she said. _ Robson said there’s a lot of freedom to run- ning a home-based business. “There are no time restraints, you can work your own hours and there-are no limits on what you can earn for in- come.” For more information on signing up, call Brenna Litwack at 656-0084.
