Bor in England, Mr. Ley came to this country in 1908, settling on Salt Spring Island. In 1915 he mar- ried Marjorie, younger daughter of the late L.: A. Petley Price and Mrs. Price of “Meréside.” He was a veteran of the last war in which he was awarded: the M.C, At the conclusion of hostilities he eame back to B.C., spent a year or so at Thetis and returned to Ganges, making his home on Rain- bow Road and teaching at G. B. Benson’s Private School for boys.
