-BILLY MARTIN is at it again, and one
can’t help but feel sorry for him. He knows
his baseball but doesn’t seem ableto manage
himself. Kicking dirt on an umpire and then,
as frustration peaked, picking up a double
handful of the stuff and throwing it at the
game Official is kiddy stuff, and another sign —
that Martin is again on his way todestroying
what he was building . . . meanwhile, sports
lost one of its classiest when Jean: Ratelle
decided to end his playing career. Only eight

players have beaten his total of 491 National
Hockey League goals and he is sixth in
