Coleman, member of the School Board, and read at the regular meeting of the North Saanich Consolidated Sehool Board at the Sidney school on Wednesday eve- ning, Feb, 14. Salient features of follow: “In this district there are two institutions owned and operated by the Dominion government. The Dominion Experimental Sta- tion and Farm and the Patricia Bay = Airport. Their presence means that a considerable portion of the lands in the district are not available for taxation for school support. For example: The Board has estimated that the buildings of the Airport has meant a lessen- ing in the valuation of taxable property in the district by one- fifth--moreover on the Experi- mental Farm there are seven dwellings for which rental is paid to the Dominion government.
