mociation on Monday night in the
‘White Rock hotel with the maj:
ority present, a suggested constitu.
tion was read by Dr, Hogg, the pre-
sident, A committee was appointed
to draw up @ constitution along
he lines suggested, and to report
at an early meeting.

The chairmen of the various
sports groups turned in what pro-
gress they had made. Four teams
are in prospect for football, The
other winter sports are underway.

Regarding funds it was the op-
inion of all that there should be
@ central fund with the object in
view of building) centre for all
athletic activities, but was thought
that each group should be self sup-
porting. A genéral membership feo
of $1:00 was set with a sports

membership of 50c. A drive would
be instituted.

An effort is to be made to have

Catholic Women Plan
Turkey Supper
Plans for a Turkey Supper and
Bazaar to be held at the Palladium
on Wednesday October 15th, were
completed at a meeting of the
White Rock Catholle Womens
League on-Thursday Sept. 5th.
Mrs L. Hicks was appointed gen-
eral conyenér with the following
ladies in charge of the various
booths.

Mrs C- Davey — Home-cooking:
Mrs O. Johnson — Noveltie
nee McGuire and Mrs Stevens
are in charge of supper arrango-
ments, assisted by Miss B. Busse.
‘The next regular meeting of the
League will be held at the Rectory
on Thursday October 2nd at 2:20

bazaar donations and attend this
