Michael and Donald Abbott, ac-
companied by Mrs. Warren Hast-
ings, pleased with their voeal duet,
“White Chifs Of Dover.”

In the more advanced group, 10-
year-old Patricia Jameski showed
great promise in her solo work,
‘giving a clever interpretation of
“Butterfly” (Merkel). She also,
with Mrs, Crofton, puceene ny
rendered “Anitra Danee ”
(Grieg). Jean Currie, in an ex-
pressive: solo, “Water Wagtail”
(Cyril. Scott), showed decided
musical talent. The selection “To
A Wild Rose” (Macdowall) played
by Jocelyn Sharpe and the diffi-
cult ‘“Pierette’ (Chaminade) by
Heather Hoole, brought the per-
formance to a close.

The prizes were presented by
Mrs. Warren Hastings, the prize
for advanced pupils going to

Heather Hoole, who obtained the |

highest number of marks during
the year, the first junior to Doro-
thy’ Rush, and the’
Tommy Reid.

Following the prize giving, bou-
quets were presented: to Mrs. Hast-
ings. and Mrs. Crofton; both. of
whom made short speeches of
acknowledgment.

The sun room of.the hotel, look-
