side of Keating by the time
youngsters get back to school in

thereafter’’, he says.

THE REVIEW

The project is part of an
overall. plan which will see -

Keating widened to include a

four-lane highway and a turning .

lane but Rogers says the sidewalk
has greater priority. Work on the
highway is expected to begin this
year.

For years there have been calls -

for a sidewalk, both from parent
groups and Saanich school

agitating for it for so long that
even though the sidewalk is slated
for two months down the road,
