The nucleous 0! an organization to be known 2s the “White Rock Youth League” has been formed, and the charter members are busy planning expansion of the organization. Membership in the league will be open to all young people from 16 up, and provision is being made for a junior membership of those from 14 to 16. The movement has the backing of such organizations as the Board of Trade, Cana- dian Légion, Kinsmen Club, Lions Club and.P. T. A., and an adult advisory council composed of representatives of these organizations has been set: up to help and advise the young people, and to support them in thrir efforts. The aims and objects of the League are to promote fellowship and friendship amoung the young people of White Rock, to provide entertainment and recreation, to foster hobby clubs, sports, and any other beneficial activi- ties possible. They also propose to support to the fullest extent possible any project for the betterment of the Com- munity in which they where possible. Tn order to further the organization, a dance will be held in the Legion Hall on Wednesday, April 23rd., and all young weople 16 or over are cordially invited to attend. During the evening details and plans of the League will be presented and discussed, and it is hoped that all young people inferested in such an organization will turn out.
