‘Our client has now instructed us to enquire from your-
selves as to the possibility of selling the land involved as above
described to the Corporation of the City of White Rock We

would 4ppreciate receiving your comments concerning
the feasibility of such a transaction”.

The City Clerk replied on April 9th that the Council
might be interested in purchasing and asked ‘what price Mr.
Haggman’s client had in mind.

An April 20th, Mr. Haggman wrote to the City Clerk again
asking . whether you would consider purchasing the prop-
erty at a reasonable price for the purposes of a park or
community recreation area”. The City Clerk replied on April
2ist stating - “I would refer you to my letter of April 9th in
which I asked if you could give me some indication of the
purchase price your client has in mind for the property”.

On April 23rd, the City Clerk received the following letter
from Mr. Haggman -
