Then in the absence of the chapter’s representative to the W.R.A.C., Mrs. Cochran gave an interesting account of the work being done and extended an invi- tation to any member to attend the next meeting. Mrs. Johnson reported that bus fares for Guides to attend the recent rally in Victoria had been supplied jointly by H.M.S. En- deavor and Allies chapters. Mrs. Layard, speaking for Miss Anstey, Deep Cove Guide captain, invited members to attend an enrolment ceremony on Friday, March 2, and asked for return transportation for Mrs. King, Guide commis- sioner. Mrs. Scott kindly offered to provide that. In accordance with the plan of members raising money for Chap- ter funds Mrs..Layard and Mrs. Burbidge had sponsored a_tele- phone bridge in their district. The receipts and donations amounted to $29.50 which will be a chal- tenge to other members. The meeting adjourned to meet. on April 5 at Mrs. F. J. Baker’s.
