-. recognition by its use. Soap-Box Derby Gains In Popularity At Brentwood The Soap-Box Derby, a favor- ite sport in Eastern. Canada and the United States, is fast gaining popularity in Brentwood. Starting recently with two would-be speedway artists, the number of interested parties have now reached 12. Races are staged. regularly. over a tricky course on Verdier Road, and competition is keen as the boys prepare to crown a champion. In the United States, the annual Soap-Box Derby draws thousands of spectators from some of the larger centres, with a cup going to the winner and suitable awards to those that come within the placing number set by the judges.
