the Integra is one of two mod-

els from Honda’s newly-
formed Acura division, the
other being the Legend. Hav-
ing owned an Integra for two
months, the honeymoon
should now be over but | still
find myself making excuses
for that extra irip to the store or

just driving the long way home

for the sheer enjoyment.

} bought the Integra Gt’s in
Riviera Blue metallic) from
Richmond Acura and | find
that it simply excels in han-
dling, comfort, nde and most
importantly — driving fun.

precise, throttle response
smooth and the sow er output

The integra is also at home
prowling Prospect Lake Road,
a favourite testing ground for
handling. The power-assisted
rack-and-pinion steering pro-
vides eacellent feedback and,
although the suspension is
said to be tuned for nde com-
fort, which incidentally is ex-
ceptional for a car of this size, |
certainly had no. problem
keeping ii on the road and out
of the lake! The four-wheel

disc brakes also inspire conti

dence with good control and
little or no noticeable fade.

The driver's environment is
exemplary; the Recarro-like
seats being comfortable as well
as offering. good. lateral sup-
port for those twisty bits. Visi--
bilty is superb with the swept-
back windshicid,; curved side
glass and sharply - sloping
hood p roviding a stimulating
view of the road and sky (good d
for plane spotting).
