Hospital Management Acknowledges Large Gift From Galiano The management of the Lady Minto Gult Islands Hospital ac- knowledged with thanks this week a donation of $60.30 from Gali- nano Island. The money was the proceeds from a dance sponsored by Mrs. A. E. Seoones on Galiano Island. It will go to the Ambu- lance Fund. The donation is one of the lar- gest received to date by the Am- bulance Fund, and the thanks ‘of the hospital management were tendered to Mrs. Seoones. Last Rites For C. F. Burgess The funeral service for Charles Frederick Burgess, accidentally killed on August 26 while log- ging, took place on Thursday af- ternoon in St. Mary’s Church, Fulford Harbour, Ven. Arch- deaeon Holmes officiated. Deceased, who was 34 years of age, was born in St. John, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, one son and two daughters, all at Fulford.
