Morden took the chair, Mrs, Ballard read the min- utes of tho lust meeting and Mrs. Moffat read the treasurer's report showing a balance of $22 on hand. Resignation of Mrs. F, MacKen- zie, work convener, who was unable to devote sufficient time to the ‘work, was accepted with regret and Mrs. Morden elected to fill the post. A large shipment has been recently sent to Headquarters and more ma- terials are now on hand. Work rooms continue to be open twice weekly—Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Anglican Church. An interesting contribution to war work was revealed when it was mentioned that one member hed driven the work convener and other active members twice weekly to and from work tooms. ‘White Rock Legion of Frontlers- men went to New Westminster on Sunday when “C" Squadron, L. of F., Canadian Division entertained Squadron from Vancouver. The men, under Capt. F. Wolsten- holme, paraded to Queen’s Avenue United Church where Rev. Wm. Willan of the -L)-of P. conducted. services. Provincial President Addresses Local Legion About 60 members of the Cana- dian Legion, BE.S.L., and the W.A. provided an enthusiastic audience for Provincial President Wm. Mc- Kinstrey and Provincial Secretary R. Macnicol at the Pler Rooms on Tuesday night, Mr. McKinstrey-gealt with mat- ters of immediate concern to Le- gion members including pensions, welfare and convention reports. Mr. Macnicol spoke on the War Services Department of the Legion, Including the distribution of com: forts to, education of soldiers of the present war and care of the dependents of men of the last war. Pat Hall, zone representative from Chilliwack, conveyed greeting from other zone branches. President Bielby conducted the meetings and the ladies served re- freshments. As local business could not be completed at the Legion meeting on Tuesday night owing to the full Program, a special meeting for men only will be held at the Pier Rooms on Friday night.
